Join a Magical Tour of Vintage Christmas Decorations
Come along with me as I take you on a tour of the vintage Christmas decorations in our booth at Collins Street Junction Antiques in Plant City, Florida. This year was especially magical! We found some delightful old Santa head mugs, blow mold lights, and mid-century modern figurines that added so much cheer to the vignettes. We also created some faux Jadeite ornaments using DIY Paints and Iron Orchid Design (IOD) transfers. The Jadeite ornaments were a huge hit and will definitely be making a comeback next year. I love the mixture of textures and color throughout the booth. But, nothing compares to the Christmas tree with over 150 ornaments. Link below to see the full tour:
Did you have a favorite piece in the video? I love the Tom & Jerry Punchbowl set and, of course, anything Santa is always my favorite! This year we featured a lot of Lenox items in the giftware section.
We set up Christmas at Collins Street Junction near the end of September each year, but our customers still say it isn’t early enough for them. This year we are doing it a bit differently. We will keep the Christmas tree up for the entire year so our seasonal visitors to Florida can shop for holiday items, too. Do you shop for Christmas all year long? I certainly do! I am always so thrilled whenever I see a vintage booth or antique shop with a holiday display – even if it is in the summer. If you love holiday decorations like I do, then you don’t mind seeing it all year around. I’ll do some seasonal highlights on the tree for other holidays like Valentine’s Day and Easter, but I am going to keep Christmas in our hearts all year long!
I hope you enjoyed this tour and are able to embrace every moment of this holiday season. Thank you for being with us again this year and for all of your support! Looking forward to more tours in the year ahead! Merry Christmas to all!
