About Spark of Vintage

Welcome to Spark of Vintage! I’m Cindy, a writer, teacher, antique treasure hunter, and mixed media artist. Playing in the intersection of original / reproduction vintage ephemera, stamps, resin moulds, paint, and typography is what I enjoy most. Giving a second chance to lost treasures fuels the creative part of my soul. Halloween through Christmas are the height of creative inspiration. For me, the other ten months of the year are just pre-season shenanigans.

Outside the studio, I am nestled among a multitude of thriving art collectives. An incredibly funny and loving family supports me at every turn. My sister, InkySpirits, is a very talented alcohol ink artist. We are forever swapping ideas and enabling each other’s purchasing habits.

In addition to mixed media art, I also have a vintage antique booth at Collins Street Junction Antiques & Collectibles in Plant City, Florida. Some of my work is always on display in my booth, as well as all of my restored antiques and the cool, quirky, and beautiful pieces I find along the way. The thrill of the hunt is my favorite part of what I do – I am always looking for something I have never seen before and a chance to learn something new.

Thank you for taking some time to visit Spark of Vintage! I hope you find something that makes you smile and inspires you to take a chance and try, or share, a favorite technique or two. Pour a cup of your favorite brew (coffee..tea..wine..no judging here), grab a paintbrush and let’s get messy!
